a moment and then he slips his arm around her shoulders, tentatively,
tugging her in against his side, but giving her plenty of slack to pull
away if she doesn't want it.
"We can talk about it, if you want," he says. "Or we can talk about
literally anything else."
He's been ignoring the fact that he might never see Millie again, been
refusing to think about it. He shoves the thought away again.
